We went to the pearl market this morning and did some shopping. The mall is overwhelming! Six floors of nothing but jewelry shops; you name it they had it. Silver, gold, pearls, coral, amber, agate, turquoise and many, many others. We took Kevin, our personal pearl expert, with us to help us choose our pearls and to help us with bargaining. The ladies in the store were very good salespeople, but fortunately, Kevin is a better bargainer. It took about 1.5 hrs to choose everything we wanted and to have them add the clasps, etc. Poor Chris, he had to push Hannah Joy around and around and around and around the mall in her stroller almost the entire time. They were both troopers. (No, it didn't take me the entire 1.5 hrs, there were two other families buying also) Afterwards, we

decided it was time for lunch, so we took the girls for their first meal at McDonalds! Hannah Joy didn't eat much. She liked the ketchup and played with the french fries. She took a few bites of the top of my burger and drank the soda. We ordered two double cheeseburgers, a large fry and a medium drink. The total: $3.18!!! After we ate, we headed back to the hotel as it was the girls' naptime. Hannah Joy fights going to sleep; sort of like most other two year olds. She finally gave up and Shari and I went for a foot massage while the girls slept. There is a GREAT place a few blocks from the White Swan where we got a foot massage (that started at our necks!) that lasted 70 minutes for a grand total of $6.00. That's right six dollars!!! I think I'll go back tomorrow!!!! My feet and legs (and back and shoulders) feel wonderful. On our walk back, we did some

shopping and got an afternoon ice cream treat. To my surprise, Hannah Joy was still asleep when we returned.
And the best news of the day? It's SUNNY!!!! I think this is the first time we have seen the sun in 8 or 9 days. It is SO nice outside after the cloudy, dreary, rainy days we've been having.
