We went outside tonight to put the boy's pumpkins that they carved out on the front lawn. While out there we noticed the moon high up in the sky. I couldn't help but think about the song "Somewhere Out There" from the movie "An American Tale". Here are the lyrics...
Somewhere out there beneath the pale moonlight
Someone's thinking of me and loving me tonight
Somewhere out there someone's saying a prayer
That we'll find one another in that big somewhere out there
And even though I know how very far apart we are
It helps to think we might be wishing on the same bright star
And when the night wind starts to sing a lonesome lullaby
It helps to think we're sleeping underneath the same big sky
Somewhere out there if love can see us through
Then we'll be together somewhere out there
Out where dreams come true
And even though I know how very far apart we are
It helps to think we might be wishing on the same bright star
And when the night wind starts to sing a lonesome lullaby
It helps to think we're sleeping underneath the same big sky
Somewhere out there if love can see us through
Then we'll be together somewhere out there
Out where dreams come true
This song makes me think of HJ's birth mom and what must be going through her mind as her daughter's 3rd birthday approaches. I am sad for her, for what she had to give up. But I am so eternally grateful to be able to raise her daughter for her.
HJ is a wonderful, loving child. She willingly hands out kisses and hugs to both me and her daddy! JA noticed me crying while I was looking at the moon tonight and mentioned it. HJ heard him and said "Mommy no cry." which made me cry even more. I hope someday, HJ will know who her birth mom is and that her birth mom knows that her precious daughter is being cared for by someone who loves her VERY much.
