When we received Pre-Approval (PA) for DJ, we thought we would let the kids know in a very creative way. We had been praying for a L-O-N-G time for him to find a family, so I knew they would be excited. Here is what I did. I came up with a poem and gave each part to a child. I then had them read their part (in order) and let them figure it out. Here is the poem:
DJ has found a family
Isn't that great!
He will join a family
That will have eight
He will have brothers
And sisters, too
Aren't you excited?
Because they are you!
It took them a minute to figure it out, but they were MEGA-excited when they did!
And for those of you who are curious about the "eight", my Dad lives with us, so there will be eight of us around our dinner table.
