We have finished up at CP's mom's house. We got a LOT done in a short amount of time. It is amazing what you can accomplish when you set your mind to it!
We pulled up carpet in two bedrooms - only to discover the carpet layers used a TON of staples to secure the pad. So, we pulled up a gazillion staples out of the beautiful hardwood floors! We also scrubbed stains out of the carpet, boxed up a TON of stuff to donate, boxed up and cleaned out the garage, scrubbed tape off of the bathroom floors (which had held down the carpet), loaded up one HUGE trailer of stuff to donate, rearranged furniture about seven times for staging the house, emptied more cabinets, pulled up a few weeds, swept more, mopped, swept, bought a new welcome mat, taken down shelves, boxed books, emptied closets, cleaned shelves, cleaned out the tubs/sinks with CLR,
We did take a short break today to go visit the Gibsonville Garden Railroad. CP and JA really enjoyed watching the trains as they wound their way around the tracks. Right now, CP and JA are enjoying some old M*A*S*H* episodes together. The funny thing was, I told CP I couldn't imagine our life with just one kid - it would seem too boring. I'm so glad we have a houseful and more to come!
I'm so thankful we brought JA with us. He has been a GREAT help. He was able to do a lot of little things for us so CP and I could focus on getting the big/hard stuff done. He even made lunch for us today so we could keep working. He is growing into a wonderful young man and I am very proud to be his momma.
I'll post pictures after we get home and I can load them on the computer (I forgot the cable).
