The other weekend, my kids went to Kennedy Space Center. I didn't go with them and neither did CP. We have a great friend, whom we call Uncle E. He loves to spoil my kids as much as we will let him. So, on this day, he took all four kids to KSC and let CP have the day off.

This is the Vehicle Assembly Building (VAB) where they attach the external tank and solid rocket boosters to the space shuttle. Just for reference, each stripe on that flag is big enough for a tour bus to drive down it (if it could!)
One of the launch pads from which they launch the space shuttle.

Mission Control
A Chinese newspaper from when Neil Armstrong walked on the moon. HJ doesn't quite have down the V sign yet :-)
The Rocket Garden. If you look in the lower left corner of the picture, you'll see Uncle E carrying HJ and SG next to him!
The kids just think they had fun - I know they learned something!

The kiddos looked like they had a great time. I love that place, although I've only been once. I'll have to forward you an email/photo I got of Discovery's last roll out to the launch pad. Pretty awesome, if you ask me.
