Yesterday, we went for a walk around the neighborhood to show the boys where we live. When we got back to the house, TJ spotted the rip-stick. He got it out laid it down and put one foot on it. AT tried to stop him to show him how to do it and explain that it is difficult. Well, before AT could get the words out, TJ put the other foot on the rip-stick and was off! He went down the driveway, into the gutter and out into the street - without falling off. This is no easy feat!!!! No pictures though as it was totally unexpected.
Then, TJ decided he wanted to ride his bicycle. We pulled it out, I showed him that the most important thing is to keep pedaling. After a shaky start, he was off and pedaling! No problems with balance or anything - until he tried to stop! I had to help him stop and then showed him how to pedal backwards.
After TJs bike ride, we pulled out GW's bike. At first, he didn't want to ride, but a little coaxing and he was on the seat. I helped him get started and off he went! A little shaky to start, but no problems after that.
This morning, the boys got a real taste of our family life. We played the Clean-up Game. I posted about this a while back (I'll find the link later), but the whole family works together to clean the house. The house really needed it after three weeks of kids and grandpa. We paired up GW with JA and TJ with AT and the girls worked together as a team. We got the whole house clean in about two hours.
Later, TJ and I went for another bike ride and I took the camera. So here are the pictures from that ride.
