Busy Life

Sorry for the long delay in posting.  Life is busy with 6 kids!  Let me see if I can do a reverse rundown, starting with this morning.

Just before we got home from China, CP received a very official looking envelope from our County Clerk of Court's office.  So he opened it and guess what it was - a jury summons - for two weeks out!
He filled it out and asked for a 90 day referral and it was granted.  Well, exactly 90 days later, he got his notice again for jury duty starting today.  So, he was up and out early for his civic duty.
Yesterday started very early also.  If you remember from a previous post, JA and AT had gone to Boy Scout camp.  They were supposed to return around Midnight on Saturday Night/Sunday Morning.  However, we got a phone call from JA around 11:00am Saturday that their bus had broken down.  They weren't sure how they were going to get home, but they were safe.  They eventually got another bus and made it home - at 4:00am Sunday morning.

We still made it to 8:30am service at church and then crashed for a nap Sunday afternoon.  GW had his 2nd basketball game on Sun (just CP and GW went) and his team won again.  GW is a great defensive player;  we are waiting to see if his teammates will give him a chance to show off his offensive skills.

CP didn't take any pictures this week.  Sorry!

After GW's game, CP and GW went by P*blix and bought Rib-Eye Steaks, Bubba Burgers and Ice Cream.  We grilled the steaks and burgers on our F*reman Grill (best kitchen appliance ever made!) and I made green-bean casserole (one of CP's favorites).  It was a wonderful, inexpensive Father's Day meal.  While we were eating, our neighbor brought over a cake for us.  She said she had intended to make it for a Welcome Home for GW and TJ, but never found the time to bake it until Father's Day.  So we had cake instead of ice cream.

Saturday, my sister, sister-in-law and nephew came up to visit my dad for Father's Day.  We had a great time hanging out together.  This is the first time we have been together in quite a while.  Unfortunately, my brother could not visit as his job had him out-of-state.  We did take a few pictures, but I haven't had time to upload them yet.

Friday was a normal work day for me and then GW and TJ and I went to Chinese Bible Study.  I was running late getting home as I had to run by B*g L*ts to buy more Cup-*-N**dles for them, so they were waiting for me outside - ready to go eat some REAL Chinese food!

So, that was my busy weekend.
