AT has been taking piano lessons for about a year now.
He really enjoys it. Many times he will just go over and sit down and start playing.
We had a keyboard that he had been learning on for a while. But his teacher said it was time to start looking for a real piano for him.
She warned us that it would take a while to find a decent piano, so we started about a month ago. Turns out, the first piano we looked at was a winner!
It was a good deal - a Kimbell with a dehumidifier (very important here in Florida). And it was only a mile away from our house, so we could move it ourselves.
We originally thought we would be in our new house by now, so we asked the lady if she would mind holding it for us (with a sizable deposit) and she was more than happy to.
But the time came this weekend to bring the piano home.
I had one very happy boy playing Eye of the Tiger by Survivor this weekend.
He says he wants to be the next Stevie Wonder.
Or Ray Charles. I suggested maybe the next Michael W. Smith
Whatever he ends up doing, I just hope he continues to love playing the piano.
P.S. I'll try to post a video sometime this week.
