Closing

We are now the proud owners of two mortgages!!!!
One belongs to the home we have lived in for the past 8 years.
It is the home in which our children have grown up (and SG has celebrated all of her birthdays).
It is the home in which our children have all learned to ride a bike.
It is the home in which our children have all learned to swim.
It is the home in which our children have started school (public and home).
It is the home in which our 3 children from China joined our family.

The other mortgage belongs to a home which we have only been in 4 times.
It is the house in which our children will hopefully graduate from high school and college.
It is the house in which our children will hopefully learn to drive a car (but not too soon!).
It is the house in which our children will hopefully learn to love each other wholly and unconditionally.

It is the house in which our children will hopefully learn more about giving of themselves in service to others.
It is the house in which two of our children will hopefully accept that Jesus died on the cross for them.
It is the house in which we hopefully find that family lasts for a lifetime.

At the moment it is a house.
But hopefully, soon, it will be
HOME.

Being in the middle of a move ourselves, and dealing with all the normal stresses of that process, it was really refreshing to read your perspective on the "old house" vs. the "new house". I will think differently about this move after tonight! Thank you!

Congratulations! It's exciting to think of all the fun, special memories you are going to make in your new home. Enjoy every second.
