I am so sorry about Hambone. :( I know it is so hard; they are just little furry members of the family!
Farley is so cute though, and so great you could adopt him.
And so crazy that his sponsor group has checked on him so much more than your agency and SW (though I could say the same thing about ours; they only emailed once PP and then our SW emailed when it was time to do PP visits; that was it).
