What a difference a day makes! - Updated

Thursday Evening March 23, 2006 7:00pm
Wow! What a difference! I think the anti-biotics have kicked in and our time in the room have really helped. After our nap, she started playing with daddy. They were stacking the cups together. Chris handed each cup and point and Hannah Joy would stack them up; all 12 of them. This made her very happy. Then Chris showed her once how to stack them inside each other and she did the rest on her own. Then, she let me feed her some bananas and cream oatmeal. Then she got a hold on the bowl and insisted on feeding herself. Unfortunately, this consisted of lots of stirring then a slight flick of the wrist which sometimes sent oatmeal flying! Then, she started playing peep-eye with daddy! She really started to light up while playing with daddy. Chris would slide his hands on the bed and Hannah would try to grab them. Chris was able to tickle her and get some big smiles and laughs. We have been playing for an hour and a half now! She let me feed her some noodles and then she shared some pringles with daddy. She insisted on feeding both Chris and myself the pringles. She would go back and forth between us with the pringles to feed each of us. Daddy got his first kiss while sharing pringles with Hannah Joy! She has quite the personality! and is now having lots of fun. The next thing we did was comb each others hair. She would walk back and forth between me and Chris and comb each of our hair. We then played with the ball for a long time. We would roll it back and forth and she would throw it to us. Once I bounced it to her and it bonked her in the head. She looked a little startled, but didn't cry. Then I got out her PJ's to let her know it would soon be time for bed. She started pulling on her shirt to take it off. We changed her clothes and then called the kids and Chris' mom. She fell asleep in my arms while we were on the phone.
Please pray that this is the breakthrough we have been needing. Tomorrow we go to the notary office to get her passport and we are going to do a little shopping beforehand. Pray that she doesn't get overwhelmed and her personality shines through.

Hi again... I am getting addicted to reading your blog... I have commented twice I think??? Well, I think I have 'spoken' to you before. I am Felicity and live in Melbourne Beach... now that I have heard all about Hannah for the longest time and now reading all about you getting her... so, since you don't live that far away from me... I hope to see you in 'Publix' at Melb. Bch at some stage so I can finally meet Hannah (and both of you of course)... your blog has really given me some insight into some things that could go on... looking forward to reading more... take care... So glad to hear that Hannah's coming around and feeling better. She's a beautiful, enchanting little girl and I loved every single photo from flickr. We look forward to meeting her and welcoming her into Brevard's FAC Group.

With prayers and congratulations,

Melissa, Scott and Kate
