ARRGGHH!! I know this is probably just the first of many frustrations in this process. Our SW requires a FBI fingerprint check for all adults in the home prior to approval. This is NOT a state requirement - just this SW. I understand why - there are many people that move here from other states and it is his way of making sure he is thorough. It is frustrating, though, because we will do this again for USCIS in mere weeks! Also, if it weren't for this little detail, our HS would be DONE! As it is, we have to make an appt for the fingerprinting, then wait 3 days for the results to be sent to our SW. This isn't a big deal except the only place locally that does this doesn't have his agency in their system - and it takes over a week just to get in their system.
There is a place an hour away that can do the fingerprinting and Dad and I will be taking this route as we have to be near there on Wed anyway. Its just frustrating for this to add at least two weeks to the process for a personal requirement.
