Hague Plague

So, it seems that the only thing holding up our homestudy right now is two state child abuse clearances that are required by Hague. My dad, who is living with us, served two years in the Army back in the 1950's and was stationed in SC and TX. Because Hague requires child abuse clearances on EVERYBODY in the household over 18 all the way back to when they are 18, I need to get these clearances for Dad. Now, do the math: 2010 - 1950 = 60 YEARS ago!!!!!!!!

I don't think any state actually HAD a child abuse registry back in the 50s. And even if they did - IF (and he doesn't!!!) my dad was on the list, don't you think they would give us a break since his FL clearance came back with no problems and he has lived here since 1969!!!!!
