I started my new job today. It was a fire hose of information - as I expected. I did get a few good surprises. They have an on-site gym and it only costs $5 per paycheck!! They have a cafeteria on-site as well - which will be good for grabbing a salad on busy days.
The new company also has an adoption benefit; my old employer did not. While looking through the benefits information on the internet last night, it looks as though I will qualify for the benefit. This was a terrific surprise!!! Most companies that I know of require you to have been with the company for at least one year before you qualify. From what I can tell so far, this is not the case at my new employer. Praise God!!
It was a good day - except I got really tired around 2pm. It didn't help that I woke up this morning at 4:30am and couldn't fall back asleep. All-in-all, it was a good day. To celebrate, CP is taking me out to dinner...

Wow that is awesome that you get the adoption benefit! My hubby is switching jobs within the month and we know the new employer offers adoption assitance, but didn't think we'd qualify. We'll be taking a closer look for sure!
Oh, you brainiacs always get the nice little perks (the onsite gym.) Good for you! And then immediate adoption benefits?! Wowie!!! Just blessed....simple as that. Makes me so happy for you.
