Today is Day 13 and we are highlighting
Shannon
I'm Shannon and I'm a single mama to three daughters. My oldest is bio and is in college. The younger two are both special needs and adopted from China. We are currently waiting for a baby boy from Ethiopia (hopefully only a couple months away from a referral). I work full-time as a NICU RN. I started a side business selling handstamped jewelry to help offset the costs of the adoption. I've held garage sales, sold stuff on craigslist, worked extra shifts, and picked up a part time job to help with the adoption expenses. I have tried to remain optimistic, even in the face of all doors being closed to me for grants since I'm a single person. I believe God calls us to help the orphan; not only the people who are married but everyone, including us singles.

And for those of you that don't think single women should adopt, please take the time to go read this
http://aplacecalledsimplicity.blogspot.com/2009/08/should-single-woman-adopt.html blogpost by my dear friend Linny. I think you just might change your mind.
And if you have NO idea what this is all about, please go read this
post and don't forget to grab the blog badge at the top right of my blog and let others know about this great opportunity to bless others.
Merry Christmas!
