TJ's "First" Haircut

Last week, TJ came to me and asked (in pantomime) for a haircut.  I honestly didn't think he needed a haircut and neither did his dad.  We really like his hair long like it is.  I didn't realize just how much his hair had grown until I looked back at the pictures from the day we met.

I tried to talk him out of cutting his hair, but he would hear nothing of it.  So on Saturday, I set out to give him his "first" haircut.  Obviously, he has had his hair cut before, just not by me and not at our home.  We cut all our kids hair - hen you've got 6, it get's expensive any other way. CP, JA and AT had gone to pick up some friends (another post) so GW did the honors of taking the photos.
I started off with the 1" guide.  But that wasn't short enough for him.

So I went to the 3/4" guide.  But that wasn't short enough either.

 I finally went to the 3/8" guide (I couldn't find the 1/2")

And he was OK with that (though I think he really wanted it even shorter!)

A look at the back...

And the front.  (He wasn't happy as I was trying to play his computer game when I took the picture!)
