It has started. JA has officially entered "teen-dom". No, he didn't have a birthday - yet. That's in September. But he got "the call".
You know...
From a ......
G-I-R-L.
We knew this day was coming, but we weren't quite prepared for it yet. With curly blond hair and a great personality, we figured this would happen eventually. We just thought it would be later.
It couldn't have come at a worse time (well, I guess it could have). She called while our Social Worker was here for the 6 month post-placement.
She called four times while they were here.
And invited JA to come over to a friends house.
We said "No"
You see, we don't even know this girl - or her parents.
We have been considering switching churches and have visited a few times and the kids have gone to some of their kid events. I assume that he met her and gave her our phone number during one of these events.
So, I guess we have just entered a new phase of parenting. The joys of teen-hood. Anybody got any good books we should read? And please pray for us !!!!

Joan
I'll pray for you if you pray for me. :-) Having a 16 year old girl is hard. LOL She's great though. But I want to know, why is it the the girls always seem to call the boys. When do the boys start calling the girls? :-)
