Sunday Snapshot: Another Walk in the Park

Sorry for the delay in posting :-) I tried desparately to get this up Sunday, but blogger did NOT want to upload any of my photos. Yesterday was a busy day and so I am now just getting a few moments to get this posted (still minus the photos) :-(

We went back to the "basketball" park the other night. Only this time we also took some tennis equipment. AT and I had a nice time playing together, then GW came over to play. He and AT played for a while then TJ wanted to play. So he and GW played some.

As is typical for TJ, he climbed a tree and nearly gave me another heart attack! Then we all went out on the pier to watch the sunset.

Orphan Statistics

Inter-country adoption has decreased 59 percent from its high in 2004, due primarily to restrictions by sending countries.
81.5 million Americans have considered adoption. If just 1 in 500 of these adults adopted, every waiting child would have a permanent family.
Every year more than 23,000 children age out of foster care, leaving them without families of their own.
The average waiting child is 7.5 years old.
Last year, nearly 9,000 children were adopted internationally
Of the estimated 238,280 children who exited foster care during 2013, the median amount of time spent in care was 21.8 months.
