Day 17 - Pfinn

hi! we are in the process of our second special needs china adoption. we had two children before we brought home our daughter last year and this year we are bringing home our son from new day in beijing! we expect to travel in spring of 2012. we are so very excited to welcome this sweet boy into our family! we have been so blessed by the gift of adoption in our lives!

Orphan Statistics

Inter-country adoption has decreased 59 percent from its high in 2004, due primarily to restrictions by sending countries.
81.5 million Americans have considered adoption. If just 1 in 500 of these adults adopted, every waiting child would have a permanent family.
Every year more than 23,000 children age out of foster care, leaving them without families of their own.
The average waiting child is 7.5 years old.
