We are finally here at the hotel at 10:46 am EST. Our flight to Detroit was fine. However our flight from Detroit to Tokyo was delayed 2 hrs due to electrical problems. We were concerned that we wouldn't make our connection to Beijing as there was only a one hour layover between the flights. Fortunately, Northwest held the outbound flight for us (and others) so we finally made it here at around 10:00. Our flights were very good with little turbulence and only one baby who only cried part of the time. We turned on the TV and it is filled with American shows with Chinese subtitles. The room is VERY warm but it was cool outside.

Donna, sorry we missed you this morning! We were at the park. I'll show the boys your new post--Jonathan has been asking. They miss you already. We'll be most of this weekend at my house but e-mail us at ericdyan@cfl.rr.com for when we can catch up!
