It's Outta Here!!

I sent off our Home Study copies and the I-800A documentation today to our agency. They have to review the home study and attach an approval letter to it before sending it to USCIS. If I'm lucky, it will be on it's way to USCIS by Tue or Wed of next week.

I sent the HS by Priority Mail, so it should be there Monday and I also included a pre-stamped/addressed envelope for USCIS, so it hopefully will be at USCIS by Friday!!

Orphan Statistics

Inter-country adoption has decreased 59 percent from its high in 2004, due primarily to restrictions by sending countries.
81.5 million Americans have considered adoption. If just 1 in 500 of these adults adopted, every waiting child would have a permanent family.
Every year more than 23,000 children age out of foster care, leaving them without families of their own.
The average waiting child is 7.5 years old.
Last year, nearly 9,000 children were adopted internationally
