Adrian and Roberta
Hi, we are Adrian and Roberta and we have 4 amazing children (son 12, son 10, daughter 6 daughter 4).
I'm Adrian (and you will be stuck with me for the majority of your stay here). I've been married to my lovely/beautiful/wise/wonderful wife Roberta for over 13 years now (married in 1996). Roberta and I were married for one year, when we just decided to "wait 3 to 5 years" before having children. I love it when we have a plan! I'm sure God gets a kick out of it as well. So off we went, we bought a 1 bedroom Condo, and a 2 door car... 2 weeks later... we were pregnant.
And God smiled.
9 months later, Kole our eldest son was born (who is currently 12 going on 30). Shortly there after, our second son Dawson was born (10, going on, well... 10). Gemma came 4 years later (she is 6, going on 16). And we were pregnant with Ping for about 2 years, but she came to us in Nov 2009 - and is currently 4 1/2 years old. And yes... she cares about the 1/2. :-) Our 4th child was adopted from China.
So why did we adopt? Well, adoption has always been part of our family plan. Well before we even had Kole, we had talked with the Manitoba Adoption people - and were on a 'waiting list'. However, once we got pregnant, they kicked us off. About 10 years later... we re-visited our desire to adopt.
After 3 biological children, we figured we should adopt "NOW", since we were unsure if we wanted more than 4 children, and this might be our "last go" at having children.
Again... God smiled. ;-)
